Experience the natural beauty and charm of Fiji on a morning walk through stunning changing landscapes, including river crossings, mangroves, rainforest, big rock cuttings, open coastline, and local villages. You will ride a modified electric bicycle carriage, known as a ‘Velocipede’, which is mounted on an old sugar cane railway. The tour begins with a short safety briefing and a history talk, and then your guide will lead you through the beautiful scenery, where you will encounter lots of animals and friendly locals along the way. You will make a couple of stops to learn about the area’s history and take photos.
One of the stops includes a village, where you can pick up coconuts for part of the beach refreshments. After approximately an hour, you will reach Vunabua (Frangipani) Beach, a remote and unspoiled beach with crystal clear water that is safe within the reef for swimming at low or high tide. You can spend a relaxing hour swimming, snorkeling, enjoying light refreshments, or just chilling out in the shade.
You will then ride back on your ‘Velocipede’ to the Loco Shed base, where the electric function allows you to pedal or not, depending on how much energy you want to use. This tour offers a unique and memorable way to experience Fiji’s natural beauty and history.
The maximum weight per person is 120kg.
Children aged 4 and above can join the tour. Infants aged 1 to 3 can join for free.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing for sitting on a bicycle seat. Avoid short skirts and skimpy clothing while riding through villages. Small children should wear covered footwear or sandals.
